I’m really excited about my first wedding videography gig tomorrow. I’ve recently been using my gear as much as possible to get really dialed into it. This past weekend I had a blast shooting at the Balloon event in town.
Also, I was recently hired by Sewanee to do three more videos for them, and the recent trip up there helped me get further dialed in to my equipment.
For this wedding, I’ll be shooting it by myself, but I’ll have two tripods and a monopod. For the ceremony I’ll have my Canon HF100 and a rented Canon T2i each set up on tripods in different locations. Then I’ll be running and gunning with my monopod and my Canon 7D. I also rented the Sennheiser G3 wireless mics to hook up to my Zoom H4n for the ceremony.
I helped shoot one wedding last fall and really enjoyed it. I was so enthusiastic about getting shots that at one point the guy I was helping had to corral me out of there because he was ready to leave. This time around I’ll be by myself so I can jump into the deep end and do it the way I want!
I’m also highly appreciative of the opportunity to be apart of this couple’s big day and be assigned to capture it through video.
If you’re interested in wedding video there have been a couple of great videos put up by stillmotion on vimeo about it:
